ABOUT US

TEA stands for Themed Entertainment Association, an international group of creators working in virtually every area of themed entertainment. Seriously, we're talking theme parks, theatres, casinos, concerts, restaurants, arcades, film sets, you name it. If it tells a story, the TEA is there!

San Diego State University is part of this association. TEA @ SDSU is dedicated to creating a space for the next generation of innovators and thinkers who want to be a part of the most interactive storytelling industry. Using the power of imagination, we strive to create immersive environments and experiences that take guests into the worlds of "yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy."

This student led organization is heavily focused on building experiences and connections for the industry. We focus on many projects throughout the year. If you love themed entertainment, working in teams, and inventing amazing experiences, join us!

Disney Design Competition

Every year during the fall semester, TEA @ SDSU participates in the Disney Design Competition. This competition  is hosted by Disney and usually involves creating concept art, stories, and models that all revolve around a theme presented by Disney. SDSU competes against other schools and teams to design the best attraction and story. Check out this year's problem!
